On 9 September 2019, Pra-Det Pra-Khun Luang-Pho Phrarajakhemakorn from Phrae Province presided over the merit making ceremony for the Communication Arts Laboratory. In this regards, Mr. Tinnakorn Namboonjit, Vice President of the University Council together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Praphan Thumachai, Acting President, lecturers, staffs and students participated in the ceremony.
On the same day, Communication Art Laboratory Opening Ceremony and CMRU Communication Arts open house event were organized. There was a television news reading contest under the project "THE NEXT ANNOUNCER". The event was held at the Communication Arts Laboratory, Chiang Mai Rajabhat University. The students who received the prize in the contest are as follows:
The first prize is Mr. Chatmongkon Luang-Inta, Hang Dong Rathrath Upathum School.
The first runner-up award is Miss Nichakorn Chaiyawut, The Prince Royal's College.
The second runner-up award is Miss Phongsai Kawi, Hang Dong Rathrath Upathum School.
Two consolation awards are Ms. Praeploy Wongwan, Rangsee Vittaya School and
Mr. Wirakorn Yanwut, Yupparaj Wittayalai School
